Nestled in the heart of the Douro Valley, Casa dos Migueis traces its roots back to 1927 — though the bond between our family and these vineyards began many decades earlier.

For generations, the land has shaped our story. In 1989, a new chapter began with the careful restructuring of the vineyards, planting noble grape varieties from the region and elevating our estate to the production of truly remarkable wines.

Our 7.5-hectare estate, set in a single continuous plot, reflects the character of the Douro. Around 60% is dedicated to white grape varieties such as Viosinho, Rabigato, Fernão Pires, Gouveio, Malvasia Fina, Sercial and Códega do Larinho.

The red vineyards are planted with Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Sousão and Tinta Barroca, with vines ranging from 5 to 25 years of age.

The excellence of our wines begins in the vineyard — shaped by privileged sun exposure, unique soils, and the distinctive climate of the Douro.

From vine to glass, every step is guided by tradition and care: hand-harvesting, traditional foot treading in stone tanks, fermentation in both tanks and stainless steel vats, followed by ageing in oak barrels and bottle.

The result is a collection of wines that reflect our heritage, our land, and our passion — Casa dos Migueis and Tintoreto.
