Description
Winemaking:
Grapes from carefully selected vineyard plots were harvested in late September 2019 and transported in 22-kg food-grade plastic crates. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes underwent rigorous sorting, followed by destemming and crushing. Fermentation was initiated with selected yeasts after traditional foot treading and took place in stone lagares. The must remained in the lagares for approximately 10 days, with regular foot treading to ensure optimal extraction of color, aroma, and structure.
Tasting Notes:
Deep violet in color, this wine displays expressive floral aromas typical of Touriga Nacional, complemented by notes of cocoa and spice. The nose is complex and intense, revealing black fruit, rockrose (esteva), floral nuances, and hints of pink pepper. On the palate, it shows a harmonious and elegant entry, evolving into a wine with excellent volume and fine-grained tannins. Broad and persistent, the finish is long, fresh, and well-balanced.
